Day 171: Senior Picnic

The last thing on the Class Sponsor to do list is senior picnic. It's a fun filled afternoon at the park with my favorite kids before we send them off into the real world. When it ends with a jumping pic with the principal, it's a good day.

Day 161: Prom

Prom is finally here!

My mother's ability to tie bows has been given to me.

Guys, it had a castle! #dreamscometrue
#mshforpromqueen

They willingly took a selfie with me.

Day 159: She keeps me sane.

Love this girl to pieces. I would not have survived this year without her. Class sponsors for life...and "for life" really means never ever again. :)

Day 157: Being a Class Sponsor

It is a rough job. You get asked to do things above and beyond what you think you're capable of. People help you even when you aren't sure how to help yourself. Today we are 4 days away from prom and my principal gave me this. I needed a reminder that all my hard work was appreciated.

Day 132: Senior Dress-up Day

So much crazy
The kids I dressed up. The girl HATES Frozen. Muahahaha :)
Dora AKA my class president and son (not really he just calls me mom)

Day 131: Making Costumes

This week is senior auction. The kids auction themselves off and their friends/teachers can dress them up however on Friday. It's Thursday, and I have not even started working on my kids costumes because I have been so busy working on the auction part. During advisory, I let one of my students work her magic. Olaf turned out pretty well.

Day 121: Dodgeball Tournament

When you say yes to becoming a class sponsor, you are really saying yes to a lot of jobs you don't have the skills for. There's lots of trial and error and there's lots of asking for help.

Enter: the dodgeball tournament

Everything went great! The kids had a lot of fun. Bonus: a freshmen team won the whole tournament and beat the faculty team.

Selfies...because why not?

The Winners!!

Day 108: Rose Delivery

High stress situations while also trying to give a test to my kids in class are not good combinations. All went well and we made money! YAY! Glad it's over.

Day 107: Roses

It's almost Valentine's Day which is when it is appropriate to sell 1000+ roses. They were in my room, and my room smelled heavenly.

Day 86: Panoramic Picture Day

Yes. Let's take an outdoor picture on a day that's freezing and rainy.

But I got to hang out with my loves (aka my senior officers) for awhile.

Day 53: Raider Stars

Being senior class sponsor means getting to come up to school early on a Saturday morning and paint stars on the ground.

Day 33: More Rational Functions

In the process of making our rational function wall art, I noticed this particular group made theirs look like baby shower invitations. Silly.

And then later in the day, this happens. These are 18 year olds and my class officers. No. Words.

Day 12: Powder Puff

It's Homecoming week and I am the senior class sponsor. It's been busy before, but this week might be the peak of busyness thus far. Prom is looming. I am prepared for the busyness to get worse. Today's task: make copies for the entire school to vote on the NHS 2014-2015 Homecoming King and Queen. 1000+ copies that I got to cut in half. YAY...for that being over.

Today was also the Powder Puff game. The Junior and Senior girls play against each other in a flag football game. The Senior Men do a dance/cheer that is always hysterical. This year they danced to Single Ladies. It was amazing!

so much pasty white boy thigh that I can't unsee

Senior girls WIN!

Day 7: #sponsorlife

1st ever trip to Arne's and I went by myself. I do not recommend this. Arne's is a 2 story warehouse of all things party supplies. They have EVERYTHING you could possibly want. It took me 30 minutes to find leis. When I did...
